old-fashioned carrot salad

for my carrot salad, i finely grate about 8 large carrots, and mix with ½ cups of raisins. dissolve around 4 teaspoons of sugar in ¼ cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice (or sweeten to you taste), pour over the grated carrots and raisins and mix through.
